When I was very young, as early as age 2, I knew music had a special place for me. My earliest memory is of myself dancing to a record player. At age 5, a Beatles record had me fascinated. Influenced by my father’s guitar playing and singing, I started making music on my own and collaborating with others by the age of fifteen.

Eventually, as I grew older, playing in Detroit clubs in a punk band called Dilemma, we had the opportunity to tour with the band the “Cramps” and had offers to tour with other bands. At the time, I chose to pursue academics instead.

After high school, I moved out west for a couple of years with my high school buddies as a band and would play parties and events. I then moved up to Northern Michigan. There I played in the cover bands “Tailgunner” and then “Alexx.” All the while, I continued to play on and off in the church, in various communities.

Meanwhile, becoming a single parent led me into taking a lower profile. I started doing solo performances over the years only on occasion wherever I could--concerts in parks, malls and even busking on the streets of Mackinaw. More recently, you might catch me in Eastern Market, Detroit.

 
I am now reaching for new heights as an artist and am working on writing new material, recording and collaborating with a pool of talented musicians I’ve networked with over the years.
